Set in the rolling landscape of Entre-Deux-Mers, Château Toulouse-Lautrec brings together almost five centuries of winegrowing heritage with the extraordinary artistic legacy of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
Once his family home and creative refuge, the estate remains deeply connected to the artist whose depictions of Belle Époque Paris, Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge became some of the most recognisable images of their time.
But it was the wine that ultimately made the partnership compelling.
The estate’s 42–43 hectares of vineyards are planted across clay, limestone and gravelly soils, producing a collection that ranges from vibrant, expressive whites to generous, structured Bordeaux reds.
The Couleurs collection offers approachable yet distinctive wines with strong visual identity, while the flagship Château Toulouse-Lautrec wines bring greater depth, refinement and complexity. The Moulin Rouge Anniversary Cuvée, meanwhile, creates a unique connection between the vineyards of Toulouse-Lautrec’s family home and the legendary Parisian cabaret he immortalised.

At the centre of the estate’s winemaking is Charles Estager, Estate Director and Winemaker.
Charles brings generations of Bordeaux experience to the Château, with family expertise rooted in the prestigious Pomerol appellation. Working alongside consulting oenologist Bruno Lacoste, he oversees the wines from vineyard through to bottle, combining traditional Bordeaux knowledge with a precise, contemporary approach.
Under his direction, restored concrete vats sit alongside temperature-controlled winemaking equipment, French oak barrels and larger oak vessels. Each cuvée is treated according to its individual character, whether preserving freshness in stainless steel, developing texture on fine lees or building depth through oak and amphora ageing.
The result is wine that is seductive, opulent, rounded and refined, while remaining unmistakably Bordeaux.
Quality recognition has followed. The 2020 Château Toulouse-Lautrec Bordeaux Supérieur received 92 points from James Suckling, 92 points from Yves Beck, 88 points from Wine Enthusiast’s Roger Voss, 88 points from Vinous, alongside a Silver Medal at the Concours de Bordeaux.
The estate’s commitment also extends beyond the cellar. Its vineyards are managed with a strong environmental focus, with organic conversion beginning in 2020 and the 2023 white becoming its first certified-organic vintage. The wider estate also holds HVE Level 3 certification.
